Le Coureur, 1955
Bronze, exhibition proof, Susse foundry
205 X 54 X 94 cm
With his body shape so thin and slender, The Runner is a long-distance runner, a marathoner. It is endowed with life and exudes intense effort,
back he almost seems to stagger and reproduces particularly well the perpetual instability specific to running.
Originally resulting from a public commission intended for the Jean Bouin stage, Le Coureur will never be installed there.
