Pierre TUAL (born in 1941)
Pierre Tual works with metal, preferably Corten steel, as others work with paper.
A dozen of his Reliefs are presented as if pinned against a cyclopean wall of the Escalette ruins, accentuating the weightless effect of these “crumpled” steel sheets. At their base, a few graceful Arches lean delicately against the wall. In Jean Prouvé’s Cameroon bungalow, two harmonious stacks of metal sheets serve as coffee tables.
