Around 1967, architect Maurice Silvy, a former collaborator of Jean Prouvé, acquired a part of one of the nomadic structures (35 x 10 meters) to install his architectural firm in Massy, in the Paris region.
In late 2008, Eric Touchaleaume acquired, in extremis before its scheduled demolition, a “Commercial premises to be demolished on a large building plot in the old Massy residential area” (sic, from the real estate listing).
Although it was in very good condition, having always been occupied and maintained, a year of restoration was necessary to remove the structure’s subsequent additions: false ceilings, interior partitions… and to partially restore the original blue paint layer, after carefully stripping the subsequently applied paint layers.
