
Jean PROUVE (1901-1984)

This panel is of the same type as those designed for the facades of the Casino de la Grande Côte (1951) and the Palais des Congrès de Royan (1954).
Provenance:
– Acquired during the closure of the Maxéville factory by a former collaborator of Jean Prouvé, these panels were never installed in a building designed for this purpose but were repurposed as garden sheds.
Outer face in ribbed raw aluminum sheet, inner face in varnished plywood.
Good condition after restoration.
Wear consistent with age and use, visible impact marks and scratches.
Aluminum restored and polished. Plywood restored and varnished. Frames repainted gray to match the original model. Toxic glass wool interior insulation removed.
Currently mounted on a display base.
Height 231.5 cm, length 104 cm, depth 5 cm (each panel). Display base dimensions: Height 1 cm, length 104 cm, depth 35 cm.
