Original base.

Secured to a steel plate, this light fixture was originally sealed into the floor.

History:

Model designed by Le Corbusier and produced by the Ouvrard – Villars & Guilux company, manufacturers of lighting equipment for marine, railway, and industrial use.

A rare model, most of which have been destroyed, notably equipping the Assembly Palace in Chandigarh. Le Corbusier, architect.
