Luciano, the father, began as a blacksmith, and it was his special relationship with nature that led him to sculpture.
He developed the art of sculpting trees and plants. He began exhibiting his work with the encouragement of his friend, painter Paolo Vallorz.
His work gained national and international recognition when, in 1995, Bill Gates commissioned an olive tree from him for his Seattle villa.
His son works alongside him but creates his own animal world.
They declare themselves artisans and heirs to ancestral craftsmanship – the craft of wrought iron – and have since exhibited in Italy and worldwide.
