JEAN PROUVE 1901-1984

Porthole panel, circa 1950. Those panels are variants of Casino de la Grande Côte, 1951, Palais des Congrès, 1954, in Royan (France).

– Aquired by a co-worker of Jean Prouvé at the time of the closure of the Prouvé workshop at Maxéville, these panels were never mounted in a building designed for this purpose but reusable as tool shed.

Ribbed raw aluminum sheet, plywood back.

Good condition after restorations Normal signs of wear.

Restored and polished aluminum. Restored and polished plywood. Frame grey repainted to match the model.

Insulation with toxic fiberglass retracted

Assembly on modern presentation base. Fixed on steel bearing plate.

Height 232 cm, l.104 cm, d. 5 cm
